The Aquamarine painting represents a significant experiment in the Donegal style technique, paving the way for the broader expression of my experiences in Donegal, Ireland. Measuring 27x27 inches, this artwork is crafted on a hand-stretched cotton canvas, emphasising its lightweight nature.

The vibrant green used in the piece emerged from a careful mixing of various green paints combined with hard gel, resulting in a captivating 3D effect and unique texture. This particular shade of green is not only my favourite but also serves as a personal connection to my memories, drawing parallels to a green Range Rover my father owned during my childhood, as well as the green Land Rover belonging to my partner today.

Although the painting depicts the sea, it is the deep green that resonates most powerfully with me. It encapsulates my ties to both Ireland and Kent, reflecting the emotional landscape of my experiences across these regions of the United Kingdom.
